Dr. Bernhardt is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a Certified MOHS Surgeon by the Society for MOHS Surgery.

Dr. Bernhardt graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1980. He has been practicing Medical and Surgical Dermatology in Jacksonville since finishing his residency at the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 1984. He has over 25 years of experience in evaluating and treating diseases of the skin, hair and nails as well as evaluating and treating patients with skin cancers.

Julie Thomas is a certified physician assistant is from  Atlanta, Georgia.  She  completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University and graduated in 2007.  She attended Nova Southeastern University where she graduated with Honors in August 2010 as a Physician Assistant.  Soon thereafter Julie joined Academic Dermatology.  Julie specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.
